By bringing home Siamak Namazi, Emad Shargi, Morad Tahbaz, and two others whose names have not been released, President Biden has once again fulfilled a commitment to protecting Americans wrongfully imprisoned abroad. This result was notably achieved through principled diplomacy carried out by U.S. officials over more than two years of quiet direct and indirect negotiations with the government of Iran.
